I’ll Know
Many women ask “how will I know?”
I’ll know
He will want and find
A way to be with me.
He will call and pursue,
there will be nothing for me to do;
except show up , believe,
and receive God’s Best
that stands the test of time
with reason and rhyme,
no sudden turns on a thin dime;
towards me, he comes to see and stay!
I’ll know
He’s mine,
I’m his as we intertwine,
bridging two hearts
one beat, no longer apart.
Simply put, our souls met a long time ago
there is no doubt, I’ll know.
Life and love is about time and chance,
choice and intention, a slow, steady dance,
that puts first things and one foot first,
beginning with the end in mind before
the beginning can burst.
He will ask about me, what I like,
not what I do;
my friends will say “wow, he is really into you!”
It will be all systems go;
I’ll know!
He will make a plan,
ask for and take my hand;
hold it tight, while we agree;
that to be with and see only me
brings nothing but glee!
He will ask me if I am hungry,
what I would like to eat,
help ease a heavy load,
offer to rub my feet!
I’ll know,
and follow where ever he decides to go,
because he follows the One
who runs this show!
I won’t be afraid to try love again,
this time aiming for a win/win win.
Cooking his favorite meals,
creating a place of peace and calm,
with shades of greens and teals;
the most wonderful spot will be home,
no matter where in the world we roam.
Like a hand in glove,
salt purifying the Red Sea,
a goodness of fit will be healing for me.
Many ask me how? Now?
Then? Like Zen?
Only God knows when.
No matter the numbers lined in a row,
when my beloved appears
I’ll know.
He’ll shine, I’ll shine
as he asks:
”will you be mine,
forever and three days for
a mighty fine time?”
Compassion and consideration
he will show,
and without any trace of hesitation,
I’ll know!
