Talking to yourself is fine, makes you feel much better; talking with each other is divine, makes your better sublime! (adapted from Earth, Wind and Fire, “All About Love”)

Talking for talkings sake is not enough. When Viktor Frankl was challenged in a Nazi prison camp to find solutions to problems that were grounded in “right action and right conduct”, we too are in need of a “fundamental change in our attitude toward life”, as well as to each other.* Let the circle be unbroken, my sisters and brothers, even though we are many different members. We are united by the Holy Spirit. Remember, only the Holy Spirit can fix our hearts.

According to Charles Stanley, “The Holy Spirit does His work in us, so He can do His work through us.” ** Moreover, he says that “we are purified and strengthened so we might be living vessels of God’s love and power made known to others.”  The next time you gather in a circle with a group of radically compassionate people, do a Holy Spirit Heart Scan (HSHS). Put your right hand on your heart, breath in slowly and deeply from your belly. With every in breath, put your hands on your diaphragm and as you fill it up with fresh air, ask the Holy Spirit to bring in all the hope your heart can hold. With every out breath, suck in your stomach and release every toxic thing you’ve been told. Let it go, right now! Extend your left hand with your palm up to receive positive energy from the person on your left side, and extend your right hand with your palm down to pass it on to the person on your right side. Once your heart is clear and centered on the Greatest Love of all, you can send it on out and be a “candle for the Lord!”

In 2007 Jacob Zuma, the newly elected head of the African National Congress, was in Los Angeles a few weeks before elections in South Africa and declared that it is time “…for the people of God to start acting like the people of God!”*** Let your light shine people, live by the Word, lighten up the load with laughter, and love with the power of God!

“God is the central point of everything. Everything that is, is in Him. Everything that was came out of Him.” ****
