It’s SPOET.E.A (Talking, Evolving, Accepting) TIME, one last time! Here’s the final “T” of the series, on the topic of personal transformation.

#4: Trusting the Process to Flow and Flourish
“…full of possibilities and suggested practices…with well-being in mind…”

It is my honor and privilege to help demystify the practice of clinical psychology, by embodying a very real and present encounter with my clients that focuses on ways to flow and flourish. Psychotherapy is a process to be trusted, an experience facilitated by a caring, compassionate person who provides access to very powerful tools full of possibilities and practices that are intentionally designed with the well-being in mind. My calling in this life is to help clients increase self-knowledge, initiate better self-care, and enhance interpersonal relationships. So, trust the process, open doors that lead to more flow in your life, and seek support when you need it so that you may flourish!

It’s SPOET.E.A (Talking, Evolving, Accepting) TIME! A journey into Dr. Temille’s four T’s regarding the process of personal transformation.

#3: Taking Positive Action
“…leads to more self-knowledge, self-care and more satisfying relationships…”

Clients who are struggling with life transition issues related to career, academic pursuits, or relational based disappointments have sought me out to help them figure out how to arrive at decisions that reflect what is best for them in terms of work, love and play. I have been able to encourage more expansive thinking that leads to positive action oriented steps toward a more engaged, meaningful, and purposeful way of being in the world. It is an honor to be invited in to witness the kind of exploration that leads to more self-knowledge, self-care and more satisfying relationships with others.

It’s SPOET.E.A (Talking, Evolving, Accepting) TIME again! A journey into Dr. Temille’s four T’s regarding the process of personal transformation. Earlier this month we discussed the #1 – Transformation by Intentional Design. This week, we move on to #2 – Telling An Expanding Life Story.

  • Transformation by Intentional Design
  • Telling an Expanding Life Story
  • Taking Positive Action
  • Trusting the Process to Flow and Flourish

#2: Telling An Expanding Life Story
“…feelings only tell a part of a complex narrative unfolding…”

Establishing rapport is essential before good therapy can begin. In the initial session, I set the tone for our work together by showing respect for your courage to show up, validating your present emotional state, and serving as a container (and conduit) for all the heaviness and all the hope. By acknowledging the process of change that sometimes feels worse before it gets better, it is possible to eventually come to the conclusion that feelings only tell a part of a complex narrative unfolding. Together we co-create an opportunity for you to tell an expanding life story. “There is a place of wisdom; self-generating healing, calm and peace within.”

SPOET.E.A (Talking, Evolving, Accepting) TIME is here! Over the next few blog posts, I am going to shed light on what I like to call the 4 T’s:

  • Transformation by Intentional Design
  • Telling an Expanding Story
  • Taking Positive Action
  • Trusting the Process to Flow and Flourish

Are you ready for the first T??

#1: Transformation by Intentional Design

Transformation is GOOD. I believe that when challenges in life become overwhelming and lead to an unbalanced state of being, it is okay to ask for help. It is in fact, perfectly normal to seek consultation outside of family, friends and clergy for extra support. My role is to provide a safe, confidential space where clients can explore ways to make their lives work well and figure out how to suffer less in the face of adversity. There is a place of wisdom, self-generating healing, calm and peace within this therapy that helps to guide a person forward in a time of distress. I would like to be such a helper, and co-facilitate a powerful process that leads to self-discovery, more hopefulness and transformation by intentional design.
